While CAD is used in the design process, it can’t be used to create physical objects and structures. For that, you need to use a computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) program along with a manufacturing machine. CADScope's Computer Aided Manufacturing Services support our clients in the UK and overseas throughout the production process.

CAM uses numeric control software and encodes automated instructions for a machine, such as a  3D printer,  CNC router or laser cutter. The best results are achieved when both CAD and CAM are used together, as they provide much more control over the entire process, from conceptualisation to realisation.

With this in mind, we understand that manufacturing clients we work with use these tools for production, and we support this with our long history in CADDuct, now known as Fabrication and soon to be taken over as Autodesk Components.
