Revit MEP Coordination - London
Tolworth Hospital
London Redevelopment
CADScope are delighted to be involved in the development of a new, modern hospital building. The redevelopment employs advanced digital construction methodologies, including comprehensive Revit MEP coordination to plan everything digitally before building starts.
This will see a new five-wing hospital building, providing state-of-the-art accommodation for seven acute, older persons and specialist mental health wards, along with a range of outpatient services which will open in late 2027.
The scheme, by South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust, aims to help break stigma around mental health by opening up the site to the community. There will be new and improved landscaping, access routes, a central plaza and a café.
History
The hospital was established by the Kingston Rural Sanitary Authority in 1889 to serve as an infectious disease facility for 22 patients. It joined the NHS in 1948, with significant modernisation in the 1960s that saw many older structures replaced.
In 2004, the hospital came under the management of the South West London and St George's Mental Health Trust, which unveiled redevelopment plans in 2015.
